More Scrubbing...

Yay! I got another comment WOOT! So here comes another installment of the "Scrubs"-itizing...

I had to think a bit about this one... and then Megan came by and yanked on my chair, which pretty much clinched it. She's great and fun to work with, but we have a little game of prank tag that never seems to end

Man, I gotta run again! more later...

"Scrubs-itizing" my life

I'm a pretty big fan of the show "Scrubs". Even though the lessons learned are rarely good lessons, it's a fairly accurate character study of college-aged impetuous behavior. In my ongoing conquest of assesment of humanity and reaction with each other and our Lord, I'm putting people from work and social life into the characters from Scrubs

Let's start with JQ, eh?

JD= Me, of course. Always learning, yet never feeling quite "learned"

Turk= Gary Thompson, except racially reversed. He's the guy who always gets me, is excellent at what he does and yet always builds up others, and likes to get a little goofy

Carla= Ceci, an easy one. Strong and confident, seasoned, driven. She is always making sure that I "get it" with radio stuff, and keeping the meanies from chewing me up spitting me out, which brings us to...

Dr. Cox, the mentor and misunderstood antihero= Big Daddy another easy one.

Troy is the poppa I've never had, always ready to give approval, correction, or a good ol' "Get outta my face, goofball!". Plus, with the substitution of root beer or Orange Crush, I dream of this type of moment daily^

I have to go hang out with the kiddos for some after school coffee now, but I can't wait to finish this one!

More in a while....

Wow! where to start?

What a week it has been! Cloud 9 was an adventure like none other. For those of you not in the know, Cloud 9 is a Vineyard sponsored retreat for youth groups. As always, I got just as much ministry as I gave. I also got a crash refresher course in nocturnal teen boy activities. The list included snoring, moaning, flashlight tag, wrestling, and singing (horribly). All after 1 am, mind you. Speaking of wonderful opportunities, I have had the privilege of manning the phones for a JQ pledge drive. It was so refreshing to hear back from our listeners on how our station has touched their lives. Knowing some of your back stories really helps me to know what to say. I can actually speak to a life instead of a silver ball at the end of a stick (that needs Jesus but hasn't made that final commitment!). You all should write books.
Please let me know where your blog site is if you're reading, because I am all about interaction. I'm even prepared to pony up a CD a week to my fave blog or pic site, so get with it.
So, I've got this professional shopping business where I check out what people want for you and fetch it, sometimes even gift wrap. This year, with all of the ministry opportunities around me, I'm just plain on the edge about whether to try and get it going in full force or just focus on church. Most of church is volunteer, and the money from the business is pretty good. Please join me in prayer for God's will in my life.

Thanks to all who read and have a great weekend!

P.S. Feel free to ask me any questions. It helps me know what to write.
P.P.S. Why do people write a P.S. when they could just put it back into the body of their blog?
